I  first became involved with vintage electronic tube equipment back in 1953 in my uncle's service shop.

At 10 years old, he had me dismantling old radios and TV's, sorting, testing and cataloguing tubes, resistors and capacitors and other components. Later, with my uncle's supervision I began performing minor part replacements in old radios and TV’s.  Then on his OK, made diagnosis and the necessary repair.

At sixteen, I left school, started work in the electronics industry and over the next three years had completed a study course in electronics. I remained in the service industry for the rest of my working life.

In early 2010, my wife and I bought a 1955 Ford Fairlane and noticed the radio was non functional. So I retrieved my vintage test equipment, setup my shop again, and repaired my radio.  A few of my car friends also needed some repairs and asked me why I didn't advertise my service.

With ads appearing in Old Autos publication, the phone started to ring and radios came for repairs.  Business has steadily expanded since. Then in early 2017, I designed a low cost, simple and effective, easy to install, Anti Theft Alarm with a built in Kill Switch for my 55.

I am now producing & retailing them to Classic Car owners through retail, dealers and car clubs and this website.

I originally set up the shop in my basement to eliminate rent and keep down expenses and this fall (2017) I moved upstairs when I converted my office area to the service area.

A website is online at:  http://vintageradiotech.wix.com/classic-radio-repair.
